AMARILLO, TX – The Lockney Longhorn Marching Band is set to compete at the UIL Area A, Class 2A Marching Contest on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Dick Bivins Stadium in Amarillo.
Under the direction of Robert Rumbelow, the Lockney band will perform at 1:00 p.m. during the prelims round, where bands from across the Panhandle and West Texas will showcase their marching shows in hopes of earning a trip to the UIL State Marching Championships.
The Area contest begins at 10:30 a.m. and features schools from multiple regions, with Lockney performing after Colorado High School and before Reagan County. Following prelims, finalist bands will be announced at 4:00 p.m., and the top ensembles will return to the field for the finals performances beginning at 6:30 p.m…
