AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — The Amarillo City Council has approved a proposal to sell 2.5 million gallons of water per day to Fermi America, despite concerns from Councilman Les Simpson about the pricing of the deal.
Simpson, representing Place 4, argued that the city should have negotiated a higher rate for the water, which he described as a valuable resource.
