Shutdown forces Amarillo health group to scramble as food trucks step up support

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — Coalition of Health Services, based in Amarillo, receives 88% of its funding from the federal and state governments.

Due to the current federal government shutdown, that means organizations like the Coalition of Health Services have to think outside the box and plan new fundraisers at the last minute to bridge the gap and try to come up with funding.
