I had a pickup from Chipotle. When I went in and asked about it, I was told someone had already picked it up. I could’ve gone on the app, unassigned, and moved on. I didn’t because I wanted to receive pay for the headache I was about to encounter.

I had received a phone call when I was in Chipotle. It was blocked by my phone as spam or a scam. So I never even knew it rang until I saw the voicemail pop up. The call said DoorDash in my missed calls, but it was not the usual number. So, I was confused.
The Call That Didn’t Seem Right
Here’s the voicemail I received:
Hi Melissa, this is Lynn with DoorDash support. I’m just calling about the order that you’re picking up from chipotle for Christian just to let you know they’re one of our priority customers and we just wanna make sure that everything goes smoothly. Thank you.
DoorDash Confirms: The Call Was a Scam
When I called the actual DoorDash to unassign from the order that was already picked up and receive my pay at the moment, I also asked about this call. She said that DoorDash would never call me about an order like that…
