The number of times Amarillo has been teased with potentially getting an H-E-B is almost ridiculous at this point. It’s the one place that the city is always screaming for, and conversations will begin out of nowhere.
It could be something as simple as a big plot of land having a “sold” sign on it, or someone seeing an H-E-B truck drive through town. It immediately spurs rumors. The latest thing to happen spurred conversation almost immediately.
