Panhandle Auto Burglary Theft unit tackles hunger and theft with catalytic converter event

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — The Panhandle Auto Burglary and Theft Unit is addressing two pressing issues with a unique initiative that combines crime prevention and community support.

Commander Patrick McBroom emphasized the importance of feeding the community while also protecting vehicles from theft.

“It’s very important that we get everybody fed, so I think coordinating this food drive with the catalytic converter stamping will alleviate two issues,” McBroom said.
