AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — Rosemary Robinson is retiring after 52 years spent working in various departments. She began her career as an intern at the library, which led to a full-time position before she later joined the Police Department.
She explained that the library position was eliminated as new libraries were being built, which opened an opportunity she decided to pursue.
“Because at that age, you basically want your benefits. You know, and you weren’t even thinking about retirement. You were just thinking about getting a job and getting money to live on and benefits,” she said…
