Workforce Solutions Panhandle offering resources amid Tyson layoffs

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – Workforce Solutions Panhandle is working to coordinate supportive resources after Tyson Foods in Amarillo announced upcoming mass layoffs.

The company announced Friday that all B-shift operations at its Amarillo location will cease “on or about” January 20, 2026, impacting about 1,700 workers.
