One of Amarillo’s light traditions is Maxwell’s Amarillo Lights. This is their sixth season of bringing holiday joy to area families. This is where the pumpkin farm is covered with over one million lights and lit up for the holiday season. When you visit, you are completely immersed in a glowing wonderland.
What to Expect at Maxwell’s Christmas Lights
When you enter Maxwell’s, you’ll be greeted by a 30-foot Christmas tree with over 20,000 lights. Then stand in awe of the 50-foot pixel tree with the giant 8-foot star. It’s so big you can see it from I-27.
The Christmas Hayride Experience
Jump on the Christmas hayride and roll through the 128-foot light tunnel with 50,000 twinkling lights. This is just a small part of the fun.
Meet Santa Every Night at 6
Every night at 6 pm, Santa comes jingling in on his tractor sleigh. After he gets settled in, jump in line for your free pictures with Santa.
Holiday Activities for All Ages
The lights are not the only thing that makes Maxwell’s fun! You can find over 20 different activities for all ages. Stop at the petting zoo with some goat grub, try out the low ropes course and tube slides, and climb the hay pyramid. Take a shot with the apple cannons, climb tire mountain, take a jump on the jumping pads, and those are just a few of the activities. Don’t forget to visit Bunnyville and the Barnyard BullsEye.
