AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — Panhandle Workforce Solutions is preparing to assist approximately 1,700 Tyson Foods employees who will lose their jobs after the holidays.
Phillip Flores from Panhandle Workforce Solutions explained that they are conducting a “rapid response” to address the needs of those affected by the layoffs.
“We’re getting together in meetings, figuring out what the needs are of the people who are being affected by the layoff and how to provide those services, such as, you know, whether it’s food stamps or translation services or a job fair,” Flores said…
