AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — A new medical supply store is now open in southwest Amarillo, aiming to make mobility equipment and daily-living aids more accessible for families across the Texas Panhandle.
Brace Yourself Store recently opened its Amarillo location after operating its first store in Lubbock for several years. General Manager Kamrin Weets said the expansion is designed to fill a gap in the region, where many communities have limited access to full-service medical supply shops.
“We’ve seen there are a lot of towns that don’t have medical supply stores or have medical supply stores that have everything that they may need,” Weets said. “So we kind of try to step in and fill in that position so that we have all kinds of products in stock. You can come try it out and make sure it works for you before you buy it.”

Inside the store, customers will find one of the largest selections of medical equipment in West Texas. The inventory ranges from power scooters and lift chairs to wheelchairs, walkers, rollators, braces, compression socks, bathroom and bedroom safety items, cushions and other daily-living aids.
Weets said being able to physically test equipment is a major part of the service the store provides.
