The Amarillo Fire Department responded to a reported residential structure fire at 2:33pm on Tuesday, at 5316 Albert Avenue. Upon arrival, fire crews reported heavy fire and smoke showing from the front side of a single-story, residential structure. Crews deployed hose lines and initiated fire attack operations while conducting search and rescue efforts after receiving information that a possible victim was inside the home. Firefighters entered the structure, encountered heavy fire conditions in the attic area, and located one victim in the front middle bedroom.
