Better Business Bureau warns public of impersonation scams increase, effects

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Better Business Bureau warns the public of the recent increase in impersonation scams and their effects on consumers, businesses, and law enforcement.

BBB said that during the scams, victims claimed that the scammers are asking them for money to pay a bond, or that they have missed jury duty, a warrant is pending, or various other tactics to scare them with the threat of fees or jail time.
