TxDOT Amarillo ‘Know Before You Go’ report for the week of Dec. 15

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Texas Department of Transportation’s Amarillo District released its “Know Before You Go” report on lane closures for this week.

According to TxDOT, road closures and detours expected throughout this week include:

Monday,

  • Northbound I-27 will be closed at Country Club Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for barrier wall placement. Traffic will be detoured at the Country Club Road exit ramp. Drivers can re-gain access to northbound I-27 by following the access road to the next entrance ramp, just north of FM 2219 (Lair Road).
  • Southbound RM 1061 will be closed one mile south of Bushland Road for patching operations.

Tuesday,

  • Drivers can expect various lane closures on northeast State Loop (SL) 335 from SH 136 and NE 3rd Avenue for crack sealing operations. The work is expected to last through the rest of the week.
  • The right lane of southbound I-27 from Sundown Lane to McCormick Road will be closed for barrier wall placement. The overnight work will take place from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 17.

Wednesday,

  • The right lane of southbound I-27 from Sundown Lane to McCormick Road will be closed for barrier wall placement. The overnight work will take place from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 18.

Throughout the Week

  • The right lane of eastbound I-40 from Adkisson Road to Arnot Road will be closed for edge repair operations.
  • The right shoulders of I-40 will be closed in both directions from Whitaker Road to Pullman Road for edge repair operations.
  • The right lane of southbound SL 335 from 34th Avenue to FM 2186 will be closed for crack seal operations.
