AMARILLO, Texas — A 24-year-old motorcyclist died after a collision with an SUV at the intersection of Bushland Avenue and Western Street on January 7, 2026, according to the Amarillo Police Department.
The incident occurred around 6:14 p.m. when the SUV turned in front of the motorcycle, resulting in a fatal crash.
Daniel Vicente Contreras III, who was driving the motorcycle westbound on Bushland Avenue, was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
