There are times when you feel special, being let in on a little secret in Amarillo. The crazy thing is, this really wasn’t a secret to a lot of people. It was to me, because I was not moving in the circles that needed to know.
A “Cool Club” for New Parents and Grandparents
Once I found out my granddaughter was on the way, that was when I got to be allowed into this cool club. I was about to become a Mimi. Everything focused on this little bundle of joy. Like a lot of new parents, my daughter was on the hunt for all the supplies that little bundle was going to need.
That is when we discovered the Just Between Friends sale (JBF) at the Amarillo Civic Center. It would happen a few times a year, and we would go every time. I mean, kids need a lot of stuff, and usually they outgrow the stuff before there is any damage, so why not, as a parent, sell the item?
That is what this sale was for. Parents are selling the stuff that their kids outgrew, and new parents are buying the stuff they need at a much nicer price. That is why we always made sure we stopped at the sale.
