Slow warming trend for our weekend

Hi everyone,

The brief shot of snow, rain, and wind from yesterday is giving way to clear skies this morning, with bitterly cold temperatures in the teens and low 20’s.  As the day unfolds, a sunny sky is expected with light westerly winds of 5 to 15 mph.  Temperatures will respond, moderating back into the 40’s and 50’s.  Amarillo will top out near 50.  Also, a lot of the snow that fell yesterday across our northern counties should melt away today.

Tomorrow will be sunny with temperatures warming back into the 50’s, while Monday should top out near 60.  From this point forward, the weather looks to be placid for the rest of the week, with highs in the 50’s and 60’s, and low’s in the 20’s and 30’s.  In other words, very seasonal January weather…
