AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — An Amarillo man reached a plea deal with federal prosecutors for bringing a rifle to an elementary school campus.
According to court documents obtained by ABC 7 News, Kye Lanham Ohair parked near Heritage Hills Elementary School on September 8 ,2025. He then walked approximately 30 feet onto school property before he was confronted by School Resource Officers (SROs).
The SROs had been assigned to Heritage Hills due to “ongoing issues” with Ohair trespassing on school property. They had been told to arrest Ohair for criminal trespass if he came back to the school again…
