City of Amarillo release winter weather update

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The City of Amarillo announced that it is continuing to monitor and respond to worsening winter weather conditions as a second round of wintry precipitation moves across Potter and Randall counties, bringing snow and light icing to parts of the city.

According to COA, light snow and icy conditions are reported Saturday, with a brief mix of sleet and snow possible through the afternoon before a full transition to snow. Heavier snow bands are expected later Saturday night and into the overnight hours. Forecast models indicate snowfall totals could reach between 8 and 10 inches, though the location of the heaviest accumulation remains uncertain.
