Education Connection: Tascosa High Choir

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — In the latest episode of the Education Connection, KAMR Local 4’s Mari Ferrel sat down with Liam Takacs, sophomore at Tascosa High School, and Tiffany Russell, choir director at Tascosa High School, to talk about their latest achievement at the Texas All-State Choir competition.

Education Connection: Amarillo Women’s Network, scholarships, and committees

Takacs made first chair of the Texas All-State Choir at their final contest for state in January. Takacs is the son of musicians which influenced his passion for music. He is one of the top 2% of musicians in the state of Texas, according to a social media post.

During the interview, Russell talked about her music background and her time as choir director. She mentioned there is around 200 students part of the choir program at Tascosa High School.
