Amarillo Boulevard crash leaves 19-year-old critically injured

A 19-year-old woman was critically injured early Thursday, Feb. 12 after her vehicle struck a building along East Amarillo Boulevard, according to the Amarillo Police Department.

Officers responded about 3:07 a.m. Thursday to the 4600 block of East Amarillo Boulevard for a single-vehicle collision. Police said preliminary information indicates the vehicle was traveling southbound on Fritch Highway and failed to stop at the intersection before leaving the roadway and hitting a structure on the property of a local business.

The driver was flown to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Authorities said next of kin has been notified…
