Alec Purdy had the best finish of an Amarillo High swimmer at a state meet in almost four decades one weekend ago in Austin.
He wasn’t completely happy about it, though.
One year after taking home a bronze medal in the 100-yard butterfly, Purdy concluded his career by one-upping himself at the Class 5A state meet at the University of Texas.
