AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Turn Center is working to support families by providing therapy to children with special needs from birth until the age of 20.
“It was created by a mom who just came in and needed help with her kiddo, who had cerebral palsy. They started with one therapy, and now we provide three therapies. So one kid with one diagnosis, and now we’re serving over a thousand kids and have multiple diagnoses that we’re treating,” added Kelisha Murray, Turn Center MOT Director of Occupational Therapy.
The services offered over at Turn Center include occupational, physical, speech, and feed therpary. Mental health counseling is also offered for families.

“There are so many kids in our community who need therapy. We get referrals from our local pediatricians for children who have some sort of developmental delay, or maybe you’re needing help meeting a milestone, and then we help them do that. So that need has not diminished; actually, it keeps growing. The other cool thing about Turn Center is that we also serve our local schools,” explained Murray…
