Barber Ranch awarded prestige animal award

CHANNING, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Barber Ranch was honored with the Prestige Animal Award by the Western Legacy Awards.

The award celebrated Hereford Bull Belle Air, who is 10 years old and about 2600 pounds. Co-Owner of Barber Ranch, Brett Barber, shared that the award is a distinguished honor that celebrates special animals raised in the Texas Panhandle.

“It’s quite an honor to have Belle Air honored that way,” Barber said. “Bell Air is one of my favorite bulls, probably my favorite bulls. One that has been a very successful show bull, winning Supreme Champion at Denver two years and also being a great breeding bull that goes on and sires low birth weight high growth cattle that marble and just have a great eating experience.”
