Amarillo, Texas – Powerful winds sweeping across the Texas Panhandle today could make travel difficult and send loose objects flying as a strong cold front pushes through the region.
According to the National Weather Service in Amarillo, north winds will frequently gust between 45 and 55 mph through Wednesday afternoon, with a 10 to 30 percent chance of gusts reaching 60 mph in the southeastern Texas Panhandle.
