AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Amarillo Zoo is currently going through some changes and will soon be known as the Amarillo Zoo and Sanctuary. This is because it’s being turned into a non-profit and run by Stephanie Brady, who is the Founder/Executive Director of Wild West Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.
Amarillo City Council approves zoo lease agreement
Through the nonprofit they will be able to change how the zoo is funded, the types of animals they can take in and many other benefits.
