AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — Drivers in Amarillo can expect traffic shifts and detours this week as the city begins street maintenance work on two major corridors.
The City of Amarillo said traffic patterns on North Grand Street will be temporarily adjusted on Tuesday and Wednesday. North and southbound traffic will be shifted to the west in two-lane traffic, and east and westbound traffic on N.E. 24th Ave. will be detoured around the intersection. The temporary closure will allow crews to mill the existing surface and place a new roadway surface of asphalt.
