71-year-old Cathy Lynn Erickson of Bushland was killed in a two vehicle accident Tuesday at I-40 and Bushland Road. Preliminary investigation revealed that at 8:39am a 2009 Peterbilt Truck towing a trailer driven by 41-year-old Ricardo Aquinaga of Dumas was stopped at the stop sign on the I-40 Service Road that intersects with Bushland Road. A 2019 Ford F-150 Pickup driven by Erickson was traveling southbound on Bushland Road and approaching the intersection. The Peterbilt attempted to turn north onto Bushland Road and was struck by the Ford Pickup as it entered the intersection. Both vehicles sustained significant damage.
