AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – An Amarillo man who pleaded guilty earlier in March has been sentenced. 20-year-old Aberiel Rashaud Westmoreland, Jr. was sentenced to 10 years in prison for a 2022 Manslaughter case by a Potter County Judge.
Westmoreland pleaded guilty earlier this month to the manslaughter charge. As part of the plea agreement, a second charge of “Tamper Fabricate Physical Evidence with Intent to Impair” was dismissed.
Suspect arrested in multi-year mail theft operation in Moore County
According to court records, Westmoreland was charged in July of 2022, two months before he turned 17.
