AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — What started as a way to save money in high school has turned into a two-store vintage clothing business for 22-year-old Michael Geeker.
Geeker is the owner of Ripptaggs Vintage Clothing, a shop specializing in apparel from the 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s. The business now operates two brick-and-mortar locations, one on Sixth Street in Amarillo and another just steps from campus in Canyon near West Texas A&M University.
“So vintage is considered 20 years or older,” Geeker said. “I mostly have like vintage band t-shirts, country music, rock, metal, sports and Harley Davidson. There’s a bunch of different categories, and then like car jackets, the big starter puffer jackets.”
