Arrowhead fire burns southeast of Amarillo on March 30

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — A grass fire that sparked Monday evening in east Amarillo burned an estimated 153 acres before crews were able to slow its advance, according to the Randall County Sheriff’s Office.

Multiple emergency units remained on scene as of 8:20 p.m. working to contain what is now being referred to as the Arrowhead Fire. Texas A&M Forest Service say the fire is approximately 90% contained, and its forward progression has been stopped.
