DALHART, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The Texas Department of Transportation Amarillo District announced US 54/Denver Avenue will be closed in Dalhart starting on April 6, with the closure running from 7th Street to US 87.
Crews will be performing concrete repairs during the closure, according to TxDOT, which are expected to be completed by the end of April.

“We appreciate the public’s patience as we work to deliver a quality but most importantly a safe product,” said TxDOT officials in the closure announcement.
Drivers in the area were asked to use extra caution and reduce speed through all work zones, and be aware of possible vehicles or personnel on or near the roadway. Drivers should also be aware of the possible route changes or delays they may need to make during the closure and prepare accordingly…
