Man sentenced to 20 years for fentanyl distribution

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) —  According to court documents filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas Amarillo Division, a man accused of selling fentanyl pills has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison.

Documents and previous reports note that Ricardo Ybarra, who entered a plea agreement for one charge of “Distribution and Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl” in October 2025, was sentenced to 20 years in prison with five years of probation and a $100 fine.

Upon the court accepting the plea agreement, his two other charges of “Conspiracy to Distribute and Possess with Intent to Distribute 400 grams or more of Fentanyl” and “Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine” were dismissed.
