A truck driver is now facing up to 10 years in prison on a charge of “injury to elderly” after punching a 77-year-old man during a road rage incident in the Texas Panhandle.
The incident happened about a year ago at a Love’s Truck Stop near Interstate 40 eastbound and Whitaker Road. The truck driver facing charges for the incident was indicted on April 23rd, 2026 in Potter County, Texas.
According to News Channel 10, police were called to the truck stops on reports of an assault. Officers arrived to find a 77-year-old man with injuries a truck driver named Dennis Eugene Massengill. Massengill told police that the 77-year-old man had cut him off before pulling into the parking lot in front of him. The two men then had a verbal confrontation before the physical fight ensued…
