As this week begins we are still in the rut of a warm, windy, and dry pattern. Highs have topped 80 degrees with dry west winds gusting over 30mph. A weak front will arrive overnight, however, and should drop wind speeds and raise the moisture level a bit from Amarillo to the NE. SW areas will remain breezy and dry. Temperatures will be falling and cloud cover increasing beginning Wednesday. As a cold front and upper level system combine later this week, rain chances are looking quite promising starting Thursday and persisting through Friday.
