AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — On Monday, High Plains Food Bank announced it is joining the National Association of Letter Carriers and the United States Postal Service for the annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive on Saturday.
According to event organizers, letter carriers across the country will collect nonperishable food donations left by residents near their mailboxes and deliver them directly to local food banks and pantries, including High Plains Food Bank.

Since its launch in 1993, Stamp Out Hunger has grown into a nationwide effort spanning more than 10,000 communities and has helped deliver over 1.8 billion pounds of food to families in need.
