Amarillo ISD details how hybrid, online learning program will work

AMARILLO, Texas(KAMR/KCIT) — Amarillo Independent School District is providing new details on how its upcoming hybrid and online learning programs will operate for students, families and teachers.

District leaders say the program, called Amarillo ISD Online, will serve students in sixth through 12th grade and is designed to offer more flexibility while maintaining a structured school day.

Students enrolled in the program will still be expected to log in daily, attend each class and stay engaged, whether they are learning from home or on campus. Officials said the hybrid model allows students to split their schedules between in-person and virtual instruction.
