Sometimes you see news floating around the social media pages of Amarillo, and you think to yourself, “Wait, this is not news.” You wonder if your mind is failing you, and it could be, but you have to make sure.
I could have sworn the news about Dave’s Hot Chicken coming to Amarillo was already out there, and it turns out my memory wasn’t failing me. Oh, yes, we did tell you about them coming at some point back in 2023. They were expanding to the Texas Panhandle, and the word was that Amarillo, Lubbock, Midland, and Odessa were getting locations.
As it started floating around again, there is at least some good news for us. The locations in Lubbock, Midland, and Odessa have already opened up. They are already enjoying their great hot chicken. Amarillo has been at a slower pace. Amarillo is just doing what Amarillo does, waiting.
