Abducted teen found in Bedford County after FBI, DHS tips

BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — An abducted teen from New Jersey was rescued by Pennsylvania State Police thanks to information the FBI and Department of Homeland Security were able to gather.

On May 26, Pennsylvania State Police learned that a 16-year-old was reported missing by the Wildwood Police Department in New Jersey. Through investigation, it was determined that she may have been with 34-year-old Demar Rojas Hernandez, of Santa Ana, California. Corporal Romeo, supervisor with the Pennsylvania State Police Troop G Incident Response Team, was requested to assist.

According to the criminal complaint, federal agents gathered information showing that Hernandez was possibly in Bedford. At around 4:45 p.m., Corporal Romeo allegedly spotted a white Toyota with California plates that Hernandez was suspected of driving…
