A long-awaited new restaurant has opened inside Rossmoor, replacing a former spot that had served the community for years.
The Golden Pear, a new restaurant from local chef and restaurateur Rodney Worth, has begun serving at 1010 Stanley Dollar Drive in Rossmoor. The opening follows months of anticipation, hundreds of thousands in renovations and some community discussion over the future of food service inside the gated 55-and-older community.
The restaurant reportedly held its soft opening on Thursday and Friday, May 21 and 22, after the restaurant secured its final needed permit from the county health division.
