The legal case against an Orange County dermatologist, who was accused of trying to poison her husband by adding toxic clog cleaner into his tea, was dismissed Friday.
Yue “Emily” Yu was initially arrested by Irvine police in 2022 on suspicion of attempting to poison her husband with Drano. Her husband, Jack Chen, had said he set up surveillance video in the kitchen of their home after he “started noticing a chemical taste” in his lemonade. He had also claimed he was later diagnosed with two stomach ulcers, gastritis and esophagitis.
Fast-forward to Friday, an Orange County Superior Court judge tossed the indictment after learning the Orange County District Attorney’s Office withheld evidence that could have potentially cleared the accused…
