Mother of Three Fatally Shot While Meeting Family for Dinner; Police Still Searching for Suspects

SANTA ANA, Calif. — More than three years after an innocent mother of three was caught in the crossfire of a gang-related shooting and killed in front of her family, investigators are continuing their search for two suspects who remain at large.

Authorities say Maria Del Refugio Mora, 43, was simply trying to meet her husband and young son for dinner when gunfire erupted in a Santa Ana parking lot, forever changing her family’s lives.

While two suspects were arrested shortly after the shooting, police believe at least two additional individuals involved in the crime have never been identified or captured.
