A new burger concept is bringing a different kind of fast-casual energy to one of Orange County’s busiest shopping destinations, as Tiny’s Burger officially opens at South Coast Plaza, introducing a menu built around classic Americana with a highly flexible, modern twist. The new spot comes from chef Sang Yoon, known for his influential gastropub Father’s Office and the now-closed Helms Bakery, marking another chapter in his evolving approach to comfort food.
This time, the focus shifts away from strict kitchen rules and toward personalization, giving customers more freedom to shape their own dining experience. Located on the first floor of South Coast Plaza near the carousel, Tiny’s Burger blends mall convenience with chef-driven detail, positioning itself as a casual but curated stop for shoppers and food lovers alike.
A compact menu built around big flavor
At the center of the menu is a straightforward lineup of American staples, led by a dry-aged hamburger and cheeseburger built on a 4-ounce patty. Each burger is topped with Tiny’s Sauce, a signature blend combining gochujang, ssamjang, ketchup, and mustard, adding a layered, slightly spicy twist to a familiar format.
Alongside the burgers, the menu includes a classic Nathan’s hot dog, a “Tokyo Dog” finished with Kewpie mayonnaise, sweet soy, furikake, and bonito flakes, plus comfort-driven sides like fries, salt-and-vinegar tots, chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, and a chili dog…
