A traffic stop in Irvine, California, over a license plate that allegedly did not belong to the car led officers to drugs, paraphernalia, ammunition, and a stolen package, according to the Irvine Police Department. Police said officers recently stopped the vehicle after determining that the plate was registered to a different vehicle. The stop ended with three people arrested on suspicion of grand theft and conspiracy.
Police identified the suspects as Leonardo Delarosa, 30, of Riverside, Danielle Kathryn Custer, 38, of Anaheim, and Sergio Arturo Diaz, 30, of Santa Ana. All three were arrested for grand theft and conspiracy, according to the department. Delarosa was also arrested on suspicion of being a convicted felon in possession of ammunition.
