Southern California will be under an extreme heat warning for the next few days, with dangerously high afternoon temperatures forecast across much of the region.
The warnings will be in place for most inland areas of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday and continuing through 8 p.m. Thursday.
The National Weather Service predicts afternoon highs between 90 and 110 degrees, with Wednesday expected to be the hottest day of the week.
