A cracking seawall protecting oceanfront homes in Laguna Beach is raising concerns as a powerful swell and high tides threaten to bring dangerous surf and potentially more erosion to the Southern California coast over Labor Day weekend.
The seawall, located on private property near Ocean Avenue, protects several homes along the coastline, KTLA 5 Orange County Bureau Chief Chip Yost reported Wednesday.
Sky5 video showed significant cracking along the seawall between two of the properties. One of the homes is currently unoccupied, Yost reported.
