About 20 homes in Long Beach were evacuated earlier this morning after massive waves battered the area, damaging the boardwalk and more. The waves were strong enough to break windows and doors. Residents spent hours putting up boards and sandbags, but one neighbor said the waves basically washed everything away within minutes.
The good news: officials inspected the homes and have now lifted the evacuation orders…
