Police are searching for two thieves accused of cutting down and stealing a $50,000 bronze statue of Jesus from a Catholic church in Orange County.
The theft occurred around 2 a.m. Aug. 30 at Christ Our Savior Catholic Church, located at 2000 W. Alton Ave. in Santa Ana, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.
Police said two male suspects wearing dark clothing entered the church property carrying a bag. One of them pulled out an electric cutting tool, and the pair began cutting the bronze statue from its base…
