An investigation is underway after a man’s decomposing body was found in a South El Monte channel.
On Sept. 14, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies were called to the Rio Hondo Channel near Loma Avenue and Rush Street at around 1:30 p.m.
The body showed “signs of the beginning stages of decomposition,” authorities said. Investigators also noticed signs of blunt force trauma, indicating possible foul play.
The person was only identified as an adult male…
