Stanton man who died confronting mass shooter awarded medal for heroism

A Stanton man who was killed while trying to stop a gunman during a mass shooting has been posthumously awarded the Carnegie Medal for Heroism.

Glen Sprowl Jr., 53, was at Cook’s Corner bar in Trabuco Canyon when a man opened fire in 2023.
